About

Spring & Summer Hockey and Power Skating Programs:

These programs are for hockey players from ages 4-16 to improve their skills and proper technique for both skating and hockey development.

Skating is built on technique, balance, edges, and strength. Our students will stride, turn, and stop, equally from left to right forward and backwards with proper instruction and demonstration.

NHL players who we see in the off season say the same thing. That is most important to practice Skating – Skating – Skating.

Our hockey skill is run from competitive junior coaches, to Junior A, University and Pro Players for both players and goalies.

We work on stick handling, shooting, passing, skills and advance to game skills, with speed and strength.

Both skating and hockey skills require that you skate with your head up. This means that when you play hockey at a high level, both your feet and hands work automatically, which take years of practice and dedication.

  • Spring Programs run once or twice a week.
  • Competitive players should skate 2 times a week.
  • Summer programs run weekly.

Most Improved Time for a Hockey Player is SUMMER!

The most improve time for a Hockey Player is the summer time.

Players will improve at a faster rate in the summer since they have no school, no travelling outside the city to and from games and practices.

Example:
If a hockey player has 1 practice per over 5 weeks in the winter this in condensed to one week of summer skating as they are on the ice 5 days a week, which is equal to 5 weeks of winter skating.

TESTIMONIALS

  • Congratulations & Gratitude

    Congratulations & Gratitude

    Hi Suzanne,

I’m writing to express my sincere congratulations and gratitude.  My Nicholas had his second skating lesson last night at the Western Fair.  You and your staff are amazing!!!  I can’t say enough about how well run your program is.  I am a teacher myself and I stood in awe observing how you got all those little people up and skating.  Last night was the second time Nicholas ever had skates on his feet and he’s starting to get the hang of it.  My husband and I are so very thankful for your professionalism and kind, but stern, approach-love it!  I’ll spread the word!

    See you next Wednesday!

    Wendy

  • Thanks and Congrats!

    Thanks and Congrats!

Just a short note of thanks and congratulations to you and your staff for an excellent week of hockey and fun. My 2 boys (Jayden 8, Riley 11) came home everyday exhausted but smiling.

While Jayden is still unsure if hockey is his game, his skating and skills improved dramatically in just a few hours of ice time.

Riley’s skating, puck control and shooting improved 110% – he’s been addicted to hockey for a few years now but has even greater confidence and skills to improve his game. read more

  • Happy New Year!

    Happy New Year!

My son Nathan is having a fantastic time and my husband and I have been extremely impressed with your program and your instructors. We feel that Nathan’s skating and hockey skills are being challenged in an age-appropriate way.

Thanks to you and your staff for making our first hockey experience so positive. We are looking forward to Nathan’s continued involvement with the USS next fall if not over the summer. read more
